Welcome to SofemaOnline Going it Alone EASA Part 66 Training Program

SofemaOnline Introduces the E-learning Revolution Supporting EASA Part 66 Basic Modules with Online training, Short Courses and 147 Module Examinations

Why the program is called Going it Alone?

Because essentially this is how we support the Maintenance Engineer to obtain his Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence (AMEL) Qualification.

We believe we have developed the most cost effective solution to help you achieve all the necessary modules for either licence category B1-1 or B2.

SofemaOnline.com supports aspiring EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to gain the knowledge needed to take the examinations, you can self-study then complete short courses or go straight to the examination.

What Does the Program Consist of?

Essentially the program consists of 2 elements the online element provided by www.easaonline.com and the short course and examination element provided by European Aviation Institute (EAI).

How does the Short Course Program work?

SofemaOnline.com is supported by European Aviation Institute (EAI) - an EASA Part 147 approved Maintenance Training Organization (MTO) with Certificate of Approval No RO.147.0003. EAI is able to provide short courses and examinations both in Romania and other approved Training Centres.

Under EASA Part 147 requirements, all exams must be invigilated to verify the identity of the student, to ensure that time constraints are complied with and to ensure that no additional study material “documents” are present during the examination.

Students who successfully pass module examinations are awarded a Certificate of Recognition of Approved Examination acceptable to all EASA Member Authorities.

Please Note: The short modular courses do not constitute an approved course, and therefore there is no reduction in the experience requirements for persons either seeking licence issue, or wishing to extend a basic licence to include other categories.

Please see the following link for the current short review and examination program.

Please Note: this program is shown in Romania but it is also possible for such a program to be delivered in Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Jakarta providing enough delegates are available. In general for a Review and Examination to go ahead we need around 6 to 8 delegates in Bucharest and 12 to 15 Delegates in other locations.

How does the SofemaOnline Program Work?

In order to maintain the highest possible standards we are pleased to announce that SofemaOnline and European Aviation Institute "EAI" offer an online experience, which as part of your self-study initiative, helps you to prepare you for your (formal) Part 66 module examination.

You will complete an online training. Then you will complete an online examination and print you certificate of competence. The online examination is representative of the Part 66 standard you will be expected to meet.

SofemaOnline.com provides a number of benefits including an easy learning experience with a software which is optimized for smart phones and tablets, as well as Desktop PCs.

The whole Purpose of SofemaOnline Part 66 online course and examination is to help you prepare for your formal license exam.

SofemaOnline.com offers EASA Part 66 Compliant Modules together with examinations – when you complete the module and pass the exam you are ready to sit the EASA Part 147 examination under formal conditions which will support you obtaining you EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License AMEL (once you complete all necessary modules).

The certificate you will achieve through SofemaOnline.com is a certificate of competence. The online examination is representative of the Part 66 standard you will be expected to meet.

How Many Basic Modules are Available?

Currently we have modules from 1 to 10 available: see here

To be added by the end of the 2017 will be the following modules which will complete B1-1 and B2 program: for category B1.1: Modules 11A, 15 & 17A and for B2 - Modules 13 & 14.

How long do I have to access the program?

Normally our online training courses delivered through EASAOnline are available to the delegate for 4 months, to complete the training, sit the exam and print the certificate. You will have 3 attempts on the exam, if you fail all of them you will need to buy the training again with 50% discount.

However for delegates enrolling in Module 1 to 10 Special program this is extended to 6 months from the start of the selected module plus you have the opportunity to pay in installments – see information on Payment Plans for the Self Study Consolidated Program.

The good thing about SofemaOnline courses is that you may stop and continue from the place you stop whenever you like. When you decide to continue our system remembers when you logged out and starts the course from the module (slide) you stopped last time. This means that you can divide courses in any way that is convenient for you.

A: Unfortunately FAA A&P is not recognised in Europe so there is no module credit and you need to start again
