FAA FAR-145 Recurrent
An FAA approval authorization issued to a CRS located outside the United States is termed a geographical approval and permits maintenance to be performed in support of a contract for a U.S. air carrier (or an operator of U.S.-registered aircraft under 14 CFR Part 129) at a location other than the repair station facility. FAA 14 CFR Part 145 is one of the most mature aviation regulations. It underwent a major amendment in 2004 which was the most comprehensive change in nearly 20 years and since that time there have been further amendments to promote harmonisation with its European equivalent - EASA Part 145.
It is assumed that those taking this course have received Indoctrination (initial) of U.S. 14 CFR Part 145 – Repair Stations rules, and therefore this training intends only to refresh specific rules considered essential for ensuring maintenance performance standards remain compliant and are upheld to the highest standards.
