The primary function of the DOA holder is to assume full responsibility for all designed products (Initial Airworthiness), including the need to support Continued Airworthiness of the designed product. A company holding Part-21 Subpart J Design Organisation Approval (DOA) has the approval to design and certify aircraft parts. EASA Part 21 Subpart J is a demanding and intensive approval and places significant responsibility on an organisation. In the case of Subpart J (DOA) Design Organisation Approvals, these are issued directly by EASA. This training is designed to Introduce the delegate to all relevant areas and to understand the process by which the EASA manages a Part 21 J Organisation.
