This course looks at the various elements necessary to ensure effective oversight of the Maintenance Planning - Production Planning Interface. The most cost-effective maintenance requires proportionate planning to provide the best outcomes. The need for successful reporting at the beginning and throughout the maintenance check should be considered a requirement of the highest order.

Over time, we gain experience on a particular aircraft type to the point where we can reasonably predict or anticipate the requirement with respect to manpower and other prerequisites, which will help with pre-planning and our ability to cope with unforeseen circumstances.

It is focused primarily on the needs of the operator`s maintenance planning group. However, it is highly relevant for production planning staff as well.
