Data center uplinks: Now 100 Gbit/s!

We have enhanced our data center connectivity with two additional high-quality uplinks. The two carriers Level 3 and Telia have been connected with additional 2 x 10 Gbit/s to our backbone.

When it comes to the internet connection of our data centers, we don't accept compromises. Instead, we continue to focus on highest quality and best availability possible for our customers. With Telia Carrier and Level 3 we choose number 1 and number 2 of the world's biggest internet carriers for upgrading our upstreams - there is no other carrier who operates such huge networks worldwide.

Our customers now receive an even better redundancy in case of a malfunction of any data center uplink. Besides, the additional upstreams increase the available bandwidth and provide you, our customers, with an even better global routing and with a better price of traffic.

The Contabo data centers now are connected to the internet with 100 Gbit/s:

All of Contabo servers are connected to at least one 100 megabit port - often even with a 1 gigabit port. This means that, even at peak times and during periods of high traffic volume, your data will still be transferred to the Internet at very high speed – long page loading times are a thing of the past in every respect.

Customers outside Germany can count on extremely high standard transmission speeds. The reason for this is that the majority of our customers live in the time zone UTC +/-1. For customers in the USA for example, this means that the entire network is hardly loaded during their peak times because it is night-time in the UTC +/-1 zone.

When it comes to server hardware we do not compromise. Other hosting providers may opt for cheap suppliers, our servers are equipped with branded hardware (for example Intel, Samsung, Western Digital).
