The Part 145 organization is responsible to perform and certify maintenance in accordance with its regulatory approval to an approved standard using approved data.

The aircraft continuing airworthiness records are the means to assess the airworthiness status of a product and its components.

An aircraft continuing airworthiness record system includes the processes to keep and manage those records and should be proportionate to the subject aircraft. Aircraft continuing airworthiness records should provide the owner/CAO/CAMO of an aircraft with the information needed:

Introduction

Part ML is applicable from 24 March 2020 - Here we look at the obligations to ensure compliance with the regulatory obligations.

Note 1: There is no Quality System directly embedded within these regulations so the oversight will come from either a Part CAMO or Part CAO Organisation.

Note 2: There is no Safety Management System (SMS) applicable to Part ML which essentially concerns aircraft operated only for private purposes below the threshold of 2730 kg.
